Good to know.
The things people usually ask before they start. If your question is not here, call or message and I will answer it.

Getting started.
Why work with a personal trainer?
A good coach corrects your technique so your body adapts faster, and helps you avoid the bad habits that take thousands of repetitions to undo. You also get a plan built for you, and someone keeping you accountable week to week.
Do I need to be fit to start?
No. Every programme opens with a full assessment and is built around where you are now, taking any past or present injuries into account. With a medical condition, please get an exercise referral from your GP first.
Do I need to diet as well as train?
Training and nutrition work together. Rather than a crash diet, we build a way of eating that fits your life and supports your goal.
Do I need expensive equipment to train at home?
No. Programmes are built around what you have, whether that is a full studio, a few items at home, or a park.
How soon will I see results?
Most people see and feel a change within a few weeks. Your programme is reviewed and progressed regularly so progress keeps coming.
How does online training work?
We meet over video for your sessions, you follow a tailored training and nutrition plan, and you have direct support through the week. It works much like an in-person session, from anywhere.
What to expect.
What happens at a massage appointment?
A short chat about what you want from the treatment and a brief consultation form, then the treatment itself, tailored to what your body needs.
Is it painful?
Deep work can be intense in places, but it should never be unbearable. I work with your feedback throughout and adjust as we go.
I bruise easily, can I still have a massage?
Usually yes. Tell me beforehand and I adjust the pressure and technique to suit you.
Do I have to undress?
Only to your comfort. You are kept covered throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.
Am I expected to talk during the treatment?
Not at all. Some people like to chat, others prefer quiet. Both are completely fine.
Practical details.
Where is the studio?
At 140 Gray's Inn Road, Holborn, London WC1X 8AZ, a discreet listed building a short walk from Chancery Lane (Central line) and Holborn stations, on the edge of Bloomsbury and the City. See how to find us.
What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable clothes you can move in and clean trainers. Chilled water is provided, and there is space to change when you arrive.
What does the first session cover?
It opens with your full assessment: a zMetrix body composition reading, orthopaedic and functional testing, and a postural movement analysis. From there your programme is built around you.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to move or cancel a session so the time can be offered to someone else. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged.
